At St Oscar Romero Catholic School we recognise the importance of the transition from primary to secondary school. We also recognise that this can be challenging time for both parents and students and as a school will do everything to ensure that our new students feel safe, happy and are looking forward to starting in September.
We are blessed to have excellent relationships with our feeder schools including our five catholic deanery feeder schools. Students from our feeder schools visit our school throughout the year for a range of workshop and taster lesson.
We do not have a catchment area all applications are ranked according to category your child comes under in our Admissions Policy (see below) and then distance to the school. You do not need to be Catholic to attend St Oscar Romero’s and currently many of our students are from non Catholic Backgrounds.
In order to ensure your child is placed in the correct category please complete and return a Supplementary Information Form (SIF) (see below) to us. If your child is Baptized (Catholic, C of E etc) or is member of a church please also include a copy of certificate or letter from priest or pastor etc, as this puts your child in a higher category.
For in year admissions, outside of the usual Year 7 admission process please contact Mrs Godfrey (firstname.lastname@example.org) directly for guidance.
