Enrichment and Learning Beyond the Classroom

Beyond A-levels, we have an exciting enrichment programme for students to explore. We aim to develop intellectually curious young adults who are prepared to play a full, active and positive role in society. We will offer a wide programme of academic, sporting, and arts opportunities including the Duke of Edinburgh Award Gold Award and a Sixth Form-only Mountain Challenge in Morocco, North Africa. We will also be offering a ‘Getting to Oxbridge’ pathway and the ‘Romero Medics’, alongside a range of STEM-based national competitions and projects.

Student Leadership and Service

It is important that our Sixth Form students feel part of the school community and are given opportunities to develop their leadership skills. All students will have the opportunity to volunteer, both within the school by mentoring a younger student, or within the local community or by leading whole school charity events. Other leadership opportunities include: Sixth Form Committee including the roles of Head Boy/Girl, Deputies etc; House Captains, and Sports Leaders where Sixth Formers lead and coach sports teams for younger students.
