House System

The House system helps embed the rocks of our Catholic ethos and houses are named after inspirational people who embodied the call of being ‘Christ to all’:

Students are allocated a house on their first induction day and remain with that house until they leave St Oscar Romero’s.

Aim High Rewards are awarded for both academic and extra-curricular participation. These are accumulated throughout the year and can be used to receive a variety of rewards. Please see the home page for the latest tally.

Students also vote for their chosen House charity and then commit to a variety of fundraising events throughout the year to help support those in need of support.

Recent charities supported include the 2.6 Challenge, St Barnabas House, Guild Care, Marie Curie, Mary’s Meals, Turning Tides and Poppy Appeal.

The selection of charities reflects our duty to be ‘Christ to all’ by providing support for others both nationally and in the Worthing area. This is reflected through both local and national charities receiving support.
